Farewell to 2012

A sprinkle of 2012 Linder style:

We had prayers answered
We had some prayers not answered, answered differently than asked for, and some still waiting for.
We watched our presidential candidate lose.
We watched the Olympics.
Jameson learned about the Electoral College and could explain it. WHAT?!
We had trials. Car trouble, broken appliances, flooded basement, rotten trailer... on and on.
Madalyn got bangs and wants to be called Maddie. MISS INDEPENDENT.
We experienced our friends bring their son home from China.
We forged new unsuspecting friendships.
Jameson started 3rd grade and Madalyn 1st grade.
I deepened friendships with a few.
I have cried.
I attended the funeral of my childhood best friends dad.
I prayed. We prayed.
We experienced God burning away some of the yuck in order to be closer to Him.
We moved into our new home.
We have laughed until our guts hurt.
We have watched our children evolve.
Jer hit a major milestone by having the same truck for 4 years.
Madalyn continues to impress us with her style.
Jameson attended Kids Camp successfully. HUGE
We have loved.

Life is full of ups downs and all arounds. It helps us to be better. It makes us realize who we are, and what is important. It gives us perspective. It isn't always easy and it isn't always hard. It can appear perfect from the outside, but it never is.
Life is what you make of it and it is our choice to make the best of it.
I choose to live 2013 OUT LOUD.

Blessed is me..

  1. Hi Kallie! I don't have a personal facebook page anymore and I forgot to bookmark your blog before I quit, sooo ... I tracked you down! I so love reading your very real and down to earth, no pretenses posts! (this one included :)

I am copying a letter/invite to an event upcoming ... Our family has been sick, and I haven't gotten around to mailing them on time, so I apologize for the lame-o online invite, but here goes: :)

    Dear Kallie and Jeremy ...

We would like to invite you to join our table at the upcoming Stand-Up Girl Foundation Annual Dinner.

The event is hosted in the Red Building, above Bridgewater Bistro, and is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a fabulous dinner while learning about a remarkable organization that empowers and educates young women, and gives hope and healing to womens’ hearts devastated by abortion. There can be no quality of life, without first the protection of it, and just as tiny souls are being denied life, so also are emotional lives being crushed in the wake of abortion. Stand-Up girl offers support, a listening ear, and a relatable forum for young women in the most desperate situations, and opens up a whole new range of abortion alternatives to them.

This year’s event is on Friday, January 18th at 6pm, and as part of our commitment to valuing all life as sacred, Caring for the Coast would love to have you join our table to come get a glimpse at this wonderful organization that shows so much care and mercy not just for babies, but also for their mothers.

Kindly RSVP at: thesiegmanns@hotmail.com by January 4th. Dinner is complimentary. Attire is semi-formal.

Blessing to you in the New Year! AJ and Caroline Siegmann
